This year, the August 99 team hosted their two-day Halloween event on October 30-31 at Loft Spaces’ Penthouse 1 at Ortigas Center.

August 99 invited kids of all ages, and also kids at heart, for a Costume Party and a Trick-or-Treat event on the 30th of October, and dedicated the 31st for their company Hat Day and Halloween Potluck at Loft’s coworking and event spaces at Ortigas Center.

At the Costume Party, August 99 awarded certificates, GCs, and cash gifts to the most exciting looks–three kids were selected for first, second, and third places; for third place was the Pink Ranger from Power Rangers, for second place was Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, and for first place was Beemo from Adventure Time. There were also awards for best team costume (Jumanji), best female costume (Lettie Lutz, the Bearded Lady from the Greatest Showman), best male costume (Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist), and crowd favorite (The Joker).

Of course, having some of the most creative people in the business, there were many notable efforts from the event, like the teams made up of the Purge, My Neighbor Totoro, Battle Royale, and the PowerPuff Girls to name a few. For individual participants, there were also Saber from Fate/stay night, Spirit Guardian Ahri from League of Legends, Alan Parrish from Jumanji, the Witch from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and more.

For the Hat Day and Halloween Potluck on the 31st, August 99 celebrated the holiday by wearing fun headwear and sharing some delicious meals–a staple for any Filipino event. Some of Loft’s conference rooms were also reserved for movie screenings, where team members could take a break and enjoy some popcorn.

The Halloween event was a great chance for the August 99 team to unwind and unleash their creativity. On regular days, August 99 is a tech company catering to business-to-business solutions for web design, development, Internet marketing and PropTech verticals.
