What’s in and Around Loft Ortigas
Ortigas Center is a 100-hectare business district straddling three cities: Pasig, Mandaluyong, and Quezon City. It’s named after the prominent Ortigas clan, whose patriarch (Francisco “Don Paco” Ortigas Sr.) purchased 4,033 hectares of land from the Augustinians in 1931.
Several main thoroughfares run through and around Ortigas, including EDSA, Ortigas Ave., Shaw Blvd., and Doña Julia Vargas Ave (named after Don Paco’s wife).
After getting some work done, you can relax and unwind in a plethora of excellent establishments in the area. Check out the map below.
How to Commute to Loft Ortigas
For southbound commuters, make sure to ride a bus bound for Ayala or Baclaran. Some buses will drop you off at EDSA Crossing (Ibabaw), where you’ll find landmarks like SM Megamall, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Star Mall (Shaw Boulevard side) and Parklea Business Center. If the bus drops you off at POEA, you can cross EDSA using a pedestrian overpass and head to Robinsons Galleria Mall.
For northbound commuters, make sure to board a bus bound for Monumento or Fairview. You’ll also be dropped off at the EDSA Crossing (Ibabaw) area. Landmarks to look out for include Greenfield District, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, and SM Megamall.
From either SM Megamall or Robinsons Galleria, it’s approximately a 10-minute and 13-minute walk to One Corporate Center.
The MRT Line 3 runs along EDSA. Taft Avenue Station is the southernmost point, going all the way to North Avenue Station.
For southbound commuters, you can get off the train at Ortigas Station. From there, it’s an estimated 16-minute walk to One Corporate Center. For northbound commuters, you can get off at Shaw Blvd. Station. From there, it’s an 18-minute walk to One Corporate Center.
Commuters coming from Mandaluyong can ride a jeep bound for Starmall Shaw (also located along EDSA). From there, you can use the pedestrian overpass to walk to SM Megamall. Commuters coming from the Pasig area can look out for jeepneys that pass through Cainta Junction to EDSA Central Shopping Mall.
